Dominick Ignazio Darrigo, 67, passed away on Wednesday December 31st, 2025, at his home in Spring Lake Heights, NJ. Born December 16th, 1958, at Fort Benning Army Base in Columbus Georgia, he was the eldest son of the late Ludwig Darrigo of Italy and Georgette Darrigo of France. Dominick grew up in Neptune, NJ spending his youth hanging on the Bradley beach with his siblings, cruising the circuit in Asbury Park and shuffle skating at the old Eatontown Roller Rink. Dominick attended Neptune Senior High School, graduating in June of 1977. Dominick then served on active duty in the US Navy aboard the USS LaSalle and USS Butte. For the last 20+ years Dominick has been a school bus driver, employed most recently by Seman Tov bus company, Neptune. He was well loved by the students, who knew him as “Mr. D”. Dominick had an eye for photography and always had a camera in his hand. He loved the NY Jets and NY Mets, and spending time with his family. He especially loved Christmas and putting up lights. He had a huge heart and loved animals, having many different cats throughout the years, most recently his cat Rusty. What Dominick loved more than anything was making people laugh, you couldn’t help but laugh whenever he was around.

Also, his nieces and nephews, Tina Pinelli of Ocean Grove, Danielle Darrigo of Neptune City, Joseph Murphy, Carlie Sages and Danny Avison of Toms River, and Christopher Hurley, Nick Cicalo and Ashley Cicalo of Little Egg Harbor, who knew him as “Uncle Nicky”.
